UPDATE: Both lanes of US 2 reopened between Skykomish and Stevens Pass on Monday, Nov. 23, following emergency storm repairs. A full overnight closure will take place between Skykomish and Index from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, when both lanes will reopen for all traffic.
Holiday travel charts were developed before last week's storm and emergency repairs and thus the US 2 charts may no longer reflect actual congestion levels.

Best travel times for:

State highways across Washington will see typical heavy holiday weekend traffic. Longer-than typical wait times at ferry docks and Canadian border crossings  are also expected most of the holiday weekend.

WSDOT crews work hard to ensure that travelers reach their destination safely and advise drivers to plan ahead to save time and frustration. Travel times are significantly lighter Wednesday and Thursday mornings and on Monday.
