Motorist Information Sign Program Application

Thank you for your interest in the WSDOT Motorist Information Sign (MIS) Program. A business applying for motorist information signing must:

  • Meet program eligibility criteria.
  • Pay an annual fee on a timely basis.
  • Agree to limit the height of any on-premise sign to no greater than 15 feet higher than the roof of the main building per RCW 47.36.310 and RCW 47.36.320.
  • Agree to provide for and maintain follow through signing if required by the department. Follow through signs direct the motorist to the business after leaving the main roadway.

Please visit the eligibility criteria website to ensure your business is eligible before submitting an application. Failure to meet these requirements or other MIS program criteria may result in the removal of a business's logo signs.
