What do we do?
Within the parameters of RCW 47.08.120, the agency's Fleet & Equipment Operations (OTEF) is a non-appropriated, full service vehicle and equipment rental business within the Department of Transportation; organized to support construction and preservation of the state’s transportation system.

The program provides and administers a wide variety of vehicles, roadway maintenance equipment, and support equipment.

The program also operates 32 vehicle and communications service and repair facilities throughout the state. Services at these facilities are available to other governmental agencies on a case-by-case job fee.

Additionally, the OTEF program operates 128 vehicle fuel stations throughout the state, that provides direct service to both the Department of Transportation and the State Patrol. These stations are also available to other governmental activities upon request; in fact, about 900,000 gallons of fuel are currently sold annually to other state and local governmental agencies.
