ARLINGTON - The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) would like to thank the following airports for participating in the online data inventory survey for the Long-Term Air Transportation Study (LATS). By completing the survey, you’ve provided valuable information that affects our ability to fund important aviation system needs. As you know, WSDOT Aviation invests more than $1 million each year to fund maintenance and improvement projects for Washington's airports. WSDOT grants, coupled with local match funds, are used to leverage millions of dollars in federal funding every year.
Your input into the survey will be critically important to LATS, and we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to participate. Study results will be used by key decision makers to determine how to best meet future demand for aviation transportation facilities. It is critical that accurate, comprehensive data drive this analysis. To be successful, we need the type of detailed, first-hand knowledge that only you, the airport manager, can provide.
Preliminary results of the survey will be available in August 2006, and a full report will be released this fall. We will continue to notify you about important project milestones through our email news service, and LATS updates will be posted on our website. We also welcome your questions about the study at any time; feel free to contact Nisha Marvel, WSDOT Aviation Communications, at 360.651.6310 or marveln@wsdot.wa.gov.
Thank you again for your invaluable support of our state’s aviation system.
