2007-09 Capital Improvement and Preservation Program

The priorities of the 2007-09 capital programs budget proposal remain unchanged from the 2005-07 budget; improving the safety of roadways, preserving at-risk roads and bridges, and protecting and enhancing the economy in Washington State. The capital improvement and preservation program (CIPP) continues the ten and 16–year transportation investment plans that were established by the Legislature in 2003 and 2005, which provided increased revenues with a phased-in gas tax increase, fees for services, and partnerships with local and regional governments.
