Monitoring wells that must be installed within the operating highway right-of-way are authorized by one of two different methods.
General Permits are used for short-term monitoring well installations expected to be in place for no longer than one year. General Permits can be issued by the NW Region Utilities Office.
Monitoring Well Agreements are used for installations expected to be in place in excess of one year. Monitoring Well Agreements are issued by the NW Region Real Estate Services Office.
