WebFLOW is a custom program you can use to create the same traffic maps on your own PC that are available at the WSDOT website. WebFLOW creates current traffic maps by first downloading a small data file from our Internet server using file transfer protocol (FTP). Then, a map that resides on your PC is "filled in" with colors that represent the data. You can also use WebFLOW to download the data file and write it to network drives for LAN/WAN applications; network clients would then download the data file from their LAN/WAN instead of our Internet server.
Versions 4.18 and above also include a feature which allows them to download new traffic maps and even a new executable as updates are made available.
Version 4.21 (created Nov. 18, 2003)
- Download WebFLOW32 (Updated to work with Windows Vista on March 3 2007, approximately 579 kbytes).
NOTES:
- WebFLOW requires a TCP/IP connection and "Winsock.dll"
- WebFLOW supports firewalls and proxies.
- WebFLOW supports HTTP and FTP transfers.
