Federal Safety Grants
2008 Invitational Call for Projects
APPLICATIONS DUE AUGUST 6, 2008
A portion of the funding provided through SAFETEA-LU has been made available for safety grants. These funds are provided for in the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and the High Risk Rural Roads Program (HRRRP). These funds are being provided through an invitational call for projects. The invitation is going out to agencies who meet the designated crash criteria, which is focused on fatal and serious injury crashes. This priority has been established in the Washington State Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP).
Only agencies that have been contacted with an invitation to apply for funding are eligible to complete the application form below. Projects submitted by agencies who have not been contacted will not be considered.
