The Washington State Department of Transportation is seeking researchers for research projects that we plan to initiate in the 2011-13 biennium. This request for qualification is being distributed to the AASHTO RAC list serve as well as universities associated with the Washington State Transportation Center (TRAC) and the Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC). The contracting organization for projects awarded through this Request for Qualifications must be a government organization. The problem statements are provided in the Request for Qualifications for the following topics: 1. Steep Slope Best Management Practices for Western Washington 2. Extended Discharge Time and Revolution Count for Cast-In-Place Concrete 3. Structural Design Parameters of Current WSDOT Concrete Mixes 4. Prioritization of Future Active Traffic Management Deployment 5. Determining Expected Life and Best Practices for Pavement Maintenance Treatments 6. Determining the Cost/Benefit of Routine Maintenance Cleaning of Steel Bridges to Prevent Structural Deterioration 7. Two Lane Rural Road Safety Performance Functions 8. Effect of Fuel Prices on VMT, GHGs and Revenue 9. Media Filter Drain Longevity 10. Stormwater Model Comparison 11. Stormwater Storage
