US 12 ET AL - 2016 SCR Region Wide Chip Seal

Project Description:
This contract provides for the improvement of various sections of multiple State Routes by rehabilitating the existing roadway including pavement repair, pre-leveling, crack sealing, planning and paving, chip sealing. Other improvements include guide post installations and pavement markings.

Current Week Traffic Advisory:

SR-129 milepost 32 to milepost 36: Thursday May 5 and Friday May 6 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. motorist will experience one lane two way piloted traffic control with up to a 15 minute delay.

Maintenance/Utility Operations:
US-12 milepost 434, Interstate Bridge at the Washington/Idaho border: Monday, May 2 through Friday, May 6 between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction for bridge washing work.

Benton City – SR 224/SR 225 Construct Intersection Improvements

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of the SR 224/SR 225 intersection located adjacent to I-82 at Benton City. The project will replace the existing intersection with a roundabout, relocate the existing park and ride lot, modify the existing drainage system, and install new high mast street lighting.

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
SR-397 milepost 20 to milepost 22: Between East A Street and City View Cemetery Lane, motorists may experience minor delays while traffic is reduced by a single lane closure in each direction during daylight hours Monday through Friday.

Project Description:
This is a City of Pasco utility project, and the City of Pasco’s contractor will be installing a new water main under the SR 397 (Oregon Avenue) roadway between MP 20.47 and MP 21.86.

Maintenance/Utility Operations:
I-90 westbound milepost 34 to milepost 37: Monday, May 2 to Friday, May 6 between the hours of 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., the right two lanes will be closed for concrete panel replacement. During the evening hours beginning at 4:30 p.m. the double lane closure will be reduced to a single lane closure.

I-90 eastbound milepost 47 to milepost 52 Monday, May 2 to Thursday, May 5 between the hours of 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., there will be a moving sweeping operation on the left shoulder.

I-90 Hyak to Keechelus Dam Phase 1C – Replace SnowShed and Add Lanes (mileposts 57 to 60)

Current Week Traffic Advisory:

Daytime:
Monday through Friday noon, drivers should prepare for intermittent rolling slowdowns in both directions. Minimal delays are anticipated.

Nighttime:
Monday night May 2 through Saturday morning May 7, eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane each night. Traffic delays are not anticipated

Scheduled rock blasting-related closure:
Tuesday May 3, Wednesday May 4, and Thursday, May 5 from 7 p.m. to approximately 8 p.m. closure on Snoqualmie Pass for rock blasting. Traffic will be stopped eastbound at milepost 56 near Gold Creek and westbound at milepost 62 near Cabin Creek.

Bicycle Alternate Route: I-90 is closed to bicycles in both directions between the Hyak interchange (Exit 54) and Stampede Pass interchange (exit 62) because there is no shoulder for bicycles to use.

Project Description:
Crews are building a wider and more reliable five-mile stretch of I-90 from Hyak to Keechelus Dam by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges, stabilizing rock slopes and replacing the snow shed with avalanche bridges.



Keechelus Dam to Stampede Pass Phase 2A – Add Lanes / Build Wildlife Bridges (mileposts 62 to 69)

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Motorists will encounter night time lane closures Monday through Thursday in both directions. Minor delays should be anticipated.

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of 2.5 miles of I-90 from Keechelus Dam to the Price Creek Rest Area. The existing four lane facility will be replaced with a new six lane highway which includes several new bridges, drainage structures, chain up areas, illumination and ITS facilities and a wildlife overcrossing structure.

Project Description:
This project will provide for repair of the overcrossing structure which was damaged by an oversize vehicle. Work will consist of removing the existing bridge spanning the eastbound lanes and replacing with a structure that will provide additional clearance. Other structural enhancements will also be made.

This project will improve the existing pavement by grinding the existing surface and repave with hot mix asphalt. Other work will include guardrail, rumble strips and pavement marking.

Project Description:
This project will provide for improvement of 2.2 miles of eastbound I-90 from milepost 67 to 69. Work will consist of paving the roadway and rehabilitation of the bridge deck crossing Sparks Road. Guardrail work will also be included.
 

I-90 Oakes Ave I/C to Peoh Rd. Bridge Vic. WB – Replace / Rehab Concrete (mileposts 84 to 87)

Current Week Traffic Advisory: 
Today through the month of June:
• Westbound during Weekdays: 10 p.m. Sunday night through 9 a.m. Friday morning westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane, 24 hours per day. Motorists should be prepared for added travel time and delays.
• Weekends: Two lanes each direction will be open to traffic during the weekends.
I-90 Westbound Off-ramp Closure (Oaks Ave. I/C, Exit 84): The westbound off-ramp to Oakes Avenue (exit 84) will be closed Monday through Friday starting April 4 through mid-May. From mid-May until mid-June, it will be closed around the clock. During the off-ramp closure, drivers can access Cle Elum via the Peoh Road Bridge interchange at exit 85.
I-90 Westbound On-ramp Closure (SR 970, Exit 85): The westbound on-ramp to I-90 (exit 85) will be closed Monday through Friday starting April 4 through mid-May. From mid-May until mid-June, it will be closed around the clock. During the off-ramp closure, drivers can access I-90 at the interchange at the west end of Cle Elum (exit 84).

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of 3 miles of westbound Interstate 90 in the Cle Elum vicinity by rehabilitating the left lane concrete pavement and replacing the right lane concrete pavement.

Eastbound: Daytime width restriction of 14’ from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Expect one lane to be closed as crews install containment nets above the roadway.
Westbound: Daytime width restriction of 14’ from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Expect one lane to be closed as crews install containment nets above the roadway.

Project Description:
This project repaints the Vantage Bridge with a new protective coating to restore and prolong the life of the bridge. The bridge was last painted in 1984 and since then the protective coating has deteriorated exposing the steel to rust and corrosion.


Maintenance/Utility Operations:
I-90 eastbound milepost 52 to milepost 56: Monday, May 2 to Thursday, May 5 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., there will be a right lane closure each day for catch basin cleaning.

I-90 westbound milepost 102: Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4  between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. traffic will be restricted to one lane for bridge deck repair work.

I-90 eastbound milepost 102: Thursday, May 5 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. traffic will be restricted to one lane for bridge deck repair work.

US-12 between milepost 166 (Wildcat Cr.) and milepost 179 ( Bear Canyon), Monday, May 2 to Thursday, May 5 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., there will be flagger controlled alternating traffic with a pilot car for ditch maintenance.  Drivers should expect 5-10 minute delays.
