SR-129 Spur Intersection - Replace Signal

SR-129 milepost 42: Through Thursday, during daylight hours traffic will be reduced to one lane as crews start the sidewalk and curb work. On Friday the intersection will closed as crews start the removal work. A detour will be in place to get around the workzone.

Project Description:
This project will replace the signal at SR-129 and Diagonal St. intersection.

SR-397 - S Yew St to S 10th Ave - Paving and Roadside Improvements

Project Description:
This project will repave a section of SR-397 by milling out the existing asphalt and paving new HMA from 10th St in Pasco to Finley Rd in Kennewick. The project will also include new pavement markings, deck repair and install a new water proofing membrane on the cable bridge

This project will repave a section of I-82 by milling out the existing asphalt and paving new HMA from 1 mile west of Benton City and before the I-182 interchange. The project will also include new pavement markings, guidepost, pavement  / fog sealing the shoulders.


I-82 Columbia River Bridge - EB Truss Deck Replacement

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
I-82, eastbound will be reduced to one lane across the Columbia River bridge into Oregon and will remain closed 24/7. Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. westbound traffic across the Columbia River Bridge into Washington will have one lane closed.  Speed will be reduced to 55 mph through the work zone. 

Project Description:
This project will remove the deck off the truss section of the eastbound bridge across the Columbia River into Oregon. The work will also upgrade the electrical system and pavement markings across the bridge. Traffic will be detoured onto the westbound bridge during the majority of this multi-session project.

Tri-Cities Vicinity Paving, I-S Improvements & ADA

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
SR-240, between the Blue Bridge and Columbia Center Blvd Interchange: Monday to Friday from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Intermittent night time ramp closures at Edison Interchange and Columbia Center Blvd Interchange can be expected. On SR 240 at milepost 27, intersection of Hagen Rd / Robertson Dr.,  crews will be working on a new signal system at these intersection.


Project Description:
This project will grind out and repave the roadway from Foster Wells Intersection to I-182 interchange on US-395. On SR-240 from Jadwin to Arron Dr and from the Blue Bridge and Columbia Center Blvd Interchange. Signals will be installed at Kingsgate Way and Hagen Robertson intersection on SR 240.



Maintenance/Utility Operations:

I-182 eastbound near milepost 10 to near milepost 11: Wednesday June 21 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. there will be multiple lane closures for bridge maintenance. Use alternate routes if possible and expect delays.

SR-224 both directions milepost 6 to milepost 7: Wednesday June 21, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. there will be alternating traffic for road repair.

US-395 milepost 18 northbound: Thursday June 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the on-ramp from Colombia Drive west to northbound US-395 and the right lane will be closed for pavement marking operations.

Project Description:
This is a City of Pasco utility project, and the City of Pasco’s contractor will be completing the pavement restoration as part of a new water main under the SR-397 (Oregon Avenue) roadway between MP 20.47 and MP 21.86.

I-90 468th Ave. SE to W Summit Rd EB – Rehab Concrete, Deck Rehab, Culvert Rehab (mileposts 34 to 52)

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Eastbound:
Drivers can expect lane closures from milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 52 near the summit of Snoqualmie pass 24 hours a day seven days a week. Drivers should plan for added travel time through this area.

Westbound:
Drivers can expect day and night time lane closures from the summit of Snoqualmie pass to milepost 45,  Monday through Friday. Delays can be anticipated. Implementation of the westbound traffic split is underway, drivers can expect traffic shifts and minor delays.

Project Description:
This project will provide for rehabilitation of the eastbound lanes of I-90 from the 468th Avenue Interchange in North Bend to the West Summit Road at Snoqualmie Pass (milepost 34 to milepost 52). Work will consist of concrete panel replacement, concrete pavement grinding and culvert rehabilitation to maintain drainage. Also included in the work is the
rehabilitation of bridge decks 90/91S eastbound at Snoqualmie River, 90/96.5N westbound at Denny Creek, the Denny Creek Viaduct Bridge 90/97.2N westbound and Bridge 90/97.7N westbound at Franklin Falls.

I-90 Hyak to Keechelus Dam Phase 1C – Replace Snow shed and Add Lanes (mileposts 57 to 60)

Nighttime:
 : Monday evening through Saturday morning, westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane during nighttime hours. Minimal delays are anticipated.

Scheduled rock blasting related closures:

Bicycle Alternate Route: I-90 is closed to bicycles in both directions
between the Hyak interchange (Exit 54) and Stampede Pass interchange (exit 62) because there is no shoulder for bicycles to use.

Project Description:
Crews are building a wider and more reliable five-mile stretch of I-90 from Hyak to Keechelus Dam by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges, stabilizing rock slopes and replacing the snow shed with avalanche bridges.

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of 2.5 miles of I-90 from Keechelus Dam to the Price Creek Rest Area. The existing four lane facility will be replaced with a new six lane highway which includes several new bridges, drainage structures, chain up areas, illumination and ITS facilities and a wildlife overcrossing structure.

This two year project provides for the improvement of 6 miles of westbound Interstate 90, located approximately 5 miles east of Cle Elum, by replacing the concrete pavement.


US-97 – Dolarway Intersection – Intersection Improvements (MP 134)

Current Week Traffic Advisory: 
Dolarway Intersection: Monday night June 19 through Saturday morning June 24, traffic should use caution from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. as the traffic lanes will be shifted and narrowed to accommodate the work. 7 p.m. Minimal delays are anticipated.

University Way Closure: Thursday night June 22, the University Way leg of the Dolarway intersection will be closed to traffic from 10 pm that night until 6 am the next morning. A detour will be in place using Highway 10 and US 97, please play close attention to the detour signing. Depending on the progress of the work, the University Way leg of the Dolarway intersection may be closed on Friday night June 23 from 10 pm until 6 am the next morning.

Project Description:
This project replaces the existing Dolarway Intersection on US-97 at MP 134 with a round-a-bout. The project will also add a right turn lane on the I-90 westbound off ramp and an additional lane on US 97 northbound. The project will update drainage, sidewalks, illumination and landscaping.

I-82 Eastbound (Thrall Road Exit 3):
Thrall Road; Milepost 3 to 4. Drivers will encounter single lane closures 24/7 until late June. The eastbound on ramp of I-82 at Thrall Road will be closed May 1, 2017 until late June. Access to eastbound I-82 can be made from Ellensburg via I-90 eastbound.

Project Description:
This project will rehabilitate Bridge 90/126N westbound at Big Creek, Bridge 90/150N westbound at Taneum Creek, Bridge 90/152 N westbound at Westside Canal, 90/174S eastbound at Renslow Bridge and Bridge 82/10S eastbound at Thrall Road. Rehabilitation will consist of the removal of a portion of the existing deck and placing a thin overlay.

I-90 both east and westbound, milepost 137: Wednesday June 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., crews will have one lane closed for bridge inspection. Thursday June 22 may also be needed.

This project will construct a bridge over the Union Pacific railroad crossing to allow SR-124 traffic to cross above the railroad. Monument Drive will reconnect to SR-124 west of its current location. Moving the intersection will improve safety for traffic entering SR-124 at milepost 5.

US-12 White Pass & Indian Cr. to WildCat Cr. Bridge – Paving & Drainage (mileposts 140 to 166)

I-82 / US 97 – Yakima County Deck Rehabilitation (I-82 mileposts 41 to 42, US 97 mileposts 37 to 38)

Current Week Traffic Advisory:

I-82 milepost 41: Through Friday June 30, westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. No impacts to traffic are anticipated.

US-97 milepost 37: Tuesday May 30 through Friday June 30, traffic should be prepared for alternating one-way traffic control 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Minimal delays are anticipated.


Project Description
:
This project rehabilitates the bridge deck on two bridges in Yakima County. Bridge 82/135N is the westbound bridge that crosses the Yakima Valley Highway at milepost 42, located 5 miles east of Yakima on I-82. Bridge 97/102 crosses Satus Creek, located 24 miles south of Toppenish on US-97. The bridges will be rehabilitated by removing and replacing the top portion of the bridge decks with a modified concrete overly. Bridge expansion joints will also be replaced.




US-97 / SR 22 Vic to 2nd Ave Vic – Paving & Roadside and I/S Improvements

US-97 milepost 61.3 to 74.5:

Drivers will encounter nighttime lane closures both northbound and southbound on US-97 from 9 p.m. Monday night through 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Delays can be anticipated.

Pedestrian Access Notification for above intersections:
ADA ramp work will be happening throughout the week; pedestrians need to use extra caution when trying to travel through these areas 24 hours a day.

Project Description:
This project will mill and pave US-97 from milepost 61.27 in Toppenish to milepost 74.45 near West Wapato and West First Streets. Other work will include chip seal of frontage roads, updating traffic signal systems
and ADA improvements.

Current Week Traffic Advisory: 
I-82 (MP 37 to 39): Thursday night June 22 and Friday night June 23, both directions of traffic will be reduced to a single lane from 8 pm until 6 a.m. the next morning. Minimal delays are anticipated.

The following interchange ramps will be closed at night for the times listed below. Detour routes will be in place using the I-82 / Valley Mall Boulevard I/C (Exit 36), please play close attention to the detour signing.
• US-97 ramp to Main Street Union Gap: Closed Thursday night June 15 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning.
• I-82 southbound ramp to US 97: Closed Thursday night June 15 and Monday night June 19 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning.
• US-97 ramp to northbound I-82: Closed Monday night June 19 and Tuesday night June 20 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning.
• Main Street Union Gap ramp to southbound I-82: Closed Tuesday night June 20 and Wednesday night June 21 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning. 

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of I-82 from MP 36.95 to MP38.78 and US-97 from MP 74.80 to 76.36 and the associated interchange ramps in the South Union Gap vicinity by repaving the asphalt, rehabilitating 6 bridge decks and modifying expansion joints on 3 bridges.


Maintenance/Utility Operations: 
I-82 milepost 22 to milepost 24 Tuesday and Wednesday June 21 and 22 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be lane closures for pavement repair operations.


US-12 eastbound at milepost 195 - 198: Tuesday June 20 through Friday June 23 between the hours of 7 a.m. to  4 p.m., expect lane closures for crack sealing operations. Traffic will be able to pass through the area with one open travel lane.

US-12 both directions milepost 138 to 166, Between the Jct. of SR-123 and Wildcat Creek: Through Thursday June 23 from 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. there will be guardrail repair work in multiple locations. Expect flagger or pilot car directed traffic. Minimal traffic delays anticipated.

SR-821 milepost 3 to milepost 7 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Monday through Thursday June 19 to June 22, crews will have one lane flagged and pilot car traffic control to clean the ditch lines.
