SR-129 Rattlesnake Creek Fish Barrier Removal

Project Activity Starting: August 10, 2015
Scheduled Completion: September, 2015

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Daily, including Saturday and Sunday, drivers will experience one lane two way traffic control 24 hours a day and delays of up to 30 minutes during daylight hours through completion of the project. There is a 10 ft. wide load restriction is in effect at milepost 6 on SR-129 24/7 through  Sept 4.

Project Description:
This project removes an existing culvert that blocks fish passage and replaces it with an enlarged concrete box culvert.  The new box culvert along with the placement of stream bed materials will allow for fish to freely pass beneath the roadway.  In addition to the fish passage, improvements to the roadway will include new asphalt, pavement markings and guardrail.

Maintenance/Utility Operations: 
SR 397 ramp to I-182 west and the ramp from I-182 west to US 395 north, will be closed on Tuesday, Sept 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pavement repair work. Detours will be in place.

I-82 East and Westbound, milepost 103: Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, Sept 1  from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. there will be lane closures to install traffic road sensors.

Current Week Traffic Advisory: 
Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., drivers should expect one lane closures and narrowed lanes when traveling southbound on US 395 between the SR-17 / US-395 Interchange and Muse Road.

Project Description:
This project provides for roadway resurfacing, new pavement markings, guardrail upgrades and shoulder finishing.

I-90 Hyak to Keechelus Dam Project (mileposts 56 to 61)

Scheduled rock blasting-related closures:

• Monday August 31 from  7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
• Tuesday Sept 1 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Wednesday Sept 2 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

During rock blasting-related closures, crews will close I-90 in both directions from Gold Creek (milepost 56) to Price Creek (milepost 61) for one or more hours. During blast closures, there are no services eastbound past milepost 53 at the summit or westbound past milepost 70 near Easton. This work is weather dependent and will be subject to change. 

Current Week Traffic Advisory:

Nighttime:
 
Friday night (August 28) and Monday, August 31 through Wednesday, Sept 2,  nights, both east and westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane. Motorists may experience added travel time and delays.

Daytime: 
Friday, August 28 and Monday, August 31 through Wednesday, Sept 2,  drivers should prepare for intermittent rolling slowdowns and possible added travel time in both directions.

Bicycle Alternate Route: I-90 is closed to bicycles in both directions between the Hyak interchange (Exit 54) and Stampede Pass interchange (exit 62) because there is no shoulder for bicycles to use. Bicyclists can use the John Wayne Pioneer Trail, weather permitting, as an alternate route.

Project Description:
Crews are building a wider and more reliable five-mile stretch of I-90 from Hyak to Keechelus Dam by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges, stabilizing rock slopes and replacing the snow shed with avalanche bridges. 


Keechelus Dam to Stampede Pass Phase 2A – Add Lanes / Build Wildlife Bridges (mileposts 62 to 69.5)

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of 2.5 miles of I-90 from Keechelus Dam to the Price Creek Rest Area. The existing four lane facility will be replaced with a new six lane highway which includes several new bridges, drainage structures, chain up areas, illumination and ITS facilities and a wildlife overcrossing structure.

Project Description:
This project will provide for improvement of 2.2 miles of eastbound I-90 from milepost 67 to 69.  Work will consist of paving the roadway and rehabilitation of the bridge deck crossing Sparks Road.  Guardrail work will also be included.

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of 3 miles of westbound Interstate 90 in the Cle Elum vicinity by rehabilitating the left lane concrete pavement and replacing the right lane concrete pavement.

Current Week Traffic Advisory

Eastbound: Drivers will experience delays due to a single lane closure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In order to avoid delays, drivers may consider taking an alternate route using US-97, I-82 or SR-24. Loads over 14 feet wide are prohibited through the project area.
 
Project Description:
This project repaints the Vantage Bridge with a new protective coating to restore and prolong the life of the bridge. The bridge was last painted in 1984 and since then the protective coating has deteriorated exposing the steel to rust and corrosion.

This project improves at grade railroad crossings on US-97 and SR-241. New concrete panels and track to be placed in conjunction with new asphalt. Each crossing will receive new warning system upgrades
