SR-129 Grand Ronde River to Rattlesnake Creek Vic. – Emergency Repairs (mileposts 4 to 6)

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Traffic should be prepared for alternating one way traffic control 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday until May 26. Drivers should anticipate delays up to 15 minutes.

Project Description:
This 6-week emergency project will repair the roadway and side slopes that were washed out on SR-129, milepost 4 to 6. Guardrail and roadway signs will also be replaced. 


US 12 milepost 433 to milepost 434 Avista Utilities

US 12 milepost 433 to milepost 434 between 5th Street and Riverview Boulevard motorists may experience minor delays between 8:30am until 3:30pm while Westbound traffic is shifted to the center lane. Traffic on 2nd Street will experience Southbound Lane Closure & Detour to 5th Street Traffic Signal. There will be a Sidewalk Closure on the Northwest Corner of Intersection of Bridge St & 2nd St. Spotters will be available to Assist Pedestrians & Business Traffic Around Activity Area.

Project Description:
Avista Utilities will be relocating aerial power poles in this vicinity.

I-82 - 1 Mile West of Benton City to I-182 Vic IC Paving (milepost 95 to milepost 101)

Monday to Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction intermittently on I-82 from 1 mile west of Benton City to just before the I-182 interchange. Crews will be crack & fog sealing the shoulders.  Drivers should use caution and expect minor delays.

Project Description:
This project will repave a section of I-82 by milling out the existing asphalt and paving new HMA from 1 mile west of Benton City and before the I-182 interchange. The project will also include new pavement markings, guidepost, crack / fog sealing the shoulders.

SR-224 milepost 6.8 to milepost 7.1 vicinity: Between the SR 224 (Van Giesen Street) and N 58th Place intersection and just east of the SR 224 / Grosscup Blvd intersection, motorists may experience minor delays while traffic is reduced by a single lane closure in the westbound direction during daylight hours. Flaggers will direct traffic through the utility work zone.

Project Description:
This is Frontier Communications utility work where they will be conducting utility location work in this vicinity.


Maintenance/Utility Operations:
I-82 milepost 123 to milepost 129 eastbound: Tuesday May 23 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. there will be lane closures for road sealing repair work.

SR-224 milepost 6 to milepost 7 both east and westbound: Wednesday May 24 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., there will be flagged one lane traffic control for pavement repair work.

SR-240 both directions milepost 0 to milepost 12: Tuesday May 23 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. there will be single lane traffic for road maintenance.


Maintenance/Utility Operations: 
US-12 milepost 376 to milepost 380 Monday May 22 and Tuesday May 23 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., WSDOT crews will have one lane flagged traffic control for pavement repair work.

This is a City of Pasco utility project, and the City of Pasco’s contractor will be raising valves as part of a new water main under the SR-397 (Oregon Avenue) roadway between MP 20.47 and MP 21.86.

Project Description:
This project will provide for rehabilitation of the eastbound lanes of I-90 from the 468th Avenue Interchange in North Bend to the West Summit Road at Snoqualmie Pass (milepost 34 to milepost 52). Work will consist of concrete panel replacement, concrete pavement grinding and culvert rehabilitation to maintain drainage. Also included in the work is the
rehabilitation of bridge decks 90/91S eastbound at Snoqualmie River, 90/96.5N westbound at Denny Creek, the Denny Creek Viaduct Bridge 90/97.2N westbound and Bridge 90/97.7N westbound at Franklin Falls.


Maintenance/Utility Operations:

I-90 Hyak to Keechelus Dam Phase 1C – Replace Snow shed and Add Lanes (mileposts 57 to 60)

Nighttime:
Monday evening through Friday morning,  traffic will be reduced to a single lane during nighttime hours. Minimal delays are anticipated.

Bicycle Alternate Route: I-90 is closed to bicycles in both directions
between the Hyak interchange (Exit 54) and Stampede Pass interchange (exit 62) because there is no shoulder for bicycles to use.

Project Description:
Crews are building a wider and more reliable five-mile stretch of I-90 from Hyak to Keechelus Dam by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges, stabilizing rock slopes and replacing the snow shed with avalanche bridges.

Project Description:
This project provides for the improvement of 2.5 miles of I-90 from Keechelus Dam to the Price Creek Rest Area. The existing four lane facility will be replaced with a new six lane highway which includes several new bridges, drainage structures, chain up areas, illumination and ITS facilities and a wildlife overcrossing structure.

Project Description:
This project will rehabilitate Bridge 90/126N westbound at Big Creek, Bridge 90/150N westbound at Taneum Creek, Bridge 90/152 N westbound at Westside Canal, 90/174S eastbound at Renslow Bridge and Bridge 82/10S eastbound at Thrall Road. Rehabilitation will consist of the removal of a portion of the existing deck and placing a thin overlay.

I-90 milepost 81 westbound: Wednesday May 24 from 6:30 a.m. to 12 noon, maintenance crews will close the right lane westbound I-90 near milepost 81 for weigh in motion maintenance.

I-90 milepost 80 westbound: Wednesday May 24 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. maintenance crews will be working on the exit ramp to the scales westbound I-90 near milepost 80 for weigh in motion maintenance.

I-90 milepost 66 to milepost 62 westbound Wednesday May 24 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. there will be a left lane mobile sweeping operation.

I-90 milepost 78 eastbound: Wednesday May 24 from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  maintenance crews will close the right lane eastbound near milepost 78 (Golf Course Road) for new sign installation and guardrail repairs. 

I-82 milepost 0 eastbound: Wednesday May 24 from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. crews will have a left lane closure on the I-90 eastbound off ramp to eastbound I-82 for cable rail repair.


I-90 milepost 62 to milepost 66 eastbound Thursday May 25 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. there will be a left lane mobile sweeping operation.

I-90 milepost 79 to milepost 85: Thursday May 25 from 6:30 a.m. to 12 noon, there will be westbound shoulder closures near milepost 79, the westbound exit 80 off ramp just west of Cle Elum, and westbound I-90 on ramp near exit 85 (Wenatchee Interchange) for new sign installation.

I-90 milepost 75 (West Nelson Siding Road) eastbound: Thursday May 25, 6 a.m. to 12 noon maintenance crews will close the shoulder for maintenance.

SR-124  Monument DR/RR Xing – Construct Bridge milepost 5

Project Description:
This project will construct a bridge over the Union Pacific railroad crossing to allow SR-124 traffic to cross above the railroad. Monument Drive will reconnect to SR-124 west of its current location. Moving the intersection will improve safety for traffic entering SR-124 at milepost 5.

I-82 / US 97 – Yakima County Deck Rehabilitation (I-82 mileposts 41 to 42, US 97 mileposts 37 to 38)

I-82 milepost 41: Monday May 22, westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane during daytime hours. No impacts to traffic are anticipated.

US-97 milepost 37: Thursday May 25, traffic should be prepared for alternating one-way traffic control during daytime hours. Minimal delays are anticipated.

Project Description:
This project rehabilitates the bridge deck on two bridges in Yakima County. Bridge 82/135N is the westbound bridge that crosses the Yakima Valley Highway at milepost 42, located 5 miles east of Yakima on I-82. Bridge 97/102 crosses Satus Creek, located 24 miles south of Toppenish on US-97. The bridges will be rehabilitated by removing and replacing the top portion of the bridge decks with a modified concrete overly. Bridge expansion joints will also be replaced.

Project Description:
This project will mill and pave US-97 from milepost 61.27 in Toppenish to milepost 74.45 near West Wapato and West First Streets. Other work will include chip seal of frontage roads, updating traffic signal systems
and ADA improvements.


Maintenance/Utility Operations:
US-12 milepost 190 Naches to milepost 197 Gleed: Tuesday May 23 through Thursday May 25 during daylight hours, crews will be closing lanes for crack sealing operations. Traffic will be able to pass through the work area with one open lane.

SR-24 eastbound milepost 0 to 1, just east of Nob Hill Interchange: Monday May 22 through Thursday May 25 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the left lane will be closed while crews install glare screen on the barrier.
