Quarterly Project Report Update for Quarter Ending December 2004

Project Title & Location
SR 285 Wenatchee Area - Paving

Project Description
This project will grind and replace the existing asphalt concrete pavement to resurface this section of SR 285.

Contractor/Consultant
The Design Phase of this project is complete and went to AD December 13, 2004.

Recent Progress
Coordination with the City of Wenatchee started in February, 2004.  Met with the Wenatchee City Council for a workshop session on April 15, 2004.  Regular monthly communications with the City are ongoing.  Open house with local businesses was held on June 10, 2004.  Reviewed parking and striping issues with the City June 28, 2004.  The Wenatchee Area intersection repair project has been included with this contract.  Met with Local businesses Oct. 20,2004.  They are very favorable to the night work option.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction activities will require close coordination with the City of Wenatchee, local merchants, schools, and emergency services.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance

No environmental impacts.  No permits anticipated.

SEPA: Categorically exempt

Impacts to Traffic

Coordinating with City and the public to establish ways of mitigating impacts to the traveling public, businesses and pedestrians during construction.  Paving at night will mitigate some of the impacts.
