Description: This plan predetermines, to the extent possible, actions to be taken by department personnel: to reduce the vulnerability of the state transportation system to any disasters that cannot be prevented; to establish capabilities for protecting the transportation system and its employees from the effects of disasters; to respond effectively to the actual occurrence of disasters; and to assist in the recovery in the aftermath of any emergency involving extensive damage or other debilitating influence on the normal pattern of life or property to the transportation system.
