Roundabouts: An Informational Guide

Description: Roundabouts: An Informational Guide is a comprehensive source of information regarding the planning, design, and operations of roundabouts and how they apply to the U.S. roadway system. When a jurisdiction is planning to implement roundabouts on their system, a roundabout intersection involves understanding how a traditional intersection operatess and finding similarities, as well as differences, when a roundabout intersection is proposed. The guide is a very good resources in describing these similarities and differences. The guide also briefly describes how other countries use roundabouts on their system and highlights many of the safety and design findings/details from those countries where roundabouts have been in use much longer (than the U.S.) providing better safety and operational results.
