Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Silt fences captured sediments from runoff to avoid impacts to the river, as outlined in the Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control Plan. The contractor implemented a containment plan to ensure lead from deck removal did not release into the environment. A Peregrine Falcon Management Plan helped avoid potential, adverse impacts from construction during the nesting activity.

Impacts to Traffic
124 weeknight full bridge closures, approximately 120 weeknight single-lane closures, and three full weekend bridge closures were required to complete the work.
