Recent Progress
I-405 Project working with the City of Bellevue to complete the east approach and connection to 116th Ave. NE (Stage 1) and design west approach and bridge over I-405 to connect to 112th Ave. NE (Stage 2).  Right-of-way certifications were achieved on time, and project will be advertised in September 2006.  Project funded by Nickel, TPA and City funds; City of Bellevue will administer Stage 1 of the NE 10th construction contract.

Design Construction Impacts
This will be a two stage design/bid/build project.  Stage 1 will complete the east abutment work in the immediate vicinity of the medical facilities to minimize construction impacts to the new Group Health Medical facility and Overlake Hospital building.  The Stage 2 I-405 crossing structure and west approach will follow.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
A corridor wide Record of Decision for the programmatic FEIS was received in October 2002.  Project level environmental documentation (SEPA) completed by the City of Bellevue in February 2005.  Updates of three technical reports are underway to allow for adoption of SEPA EIS under NEPA.

Impacts to Traffic
Impacts to the traveling public are anticipated to be minimal during construction of Stage 1.  Stage 2 plans have not yet been developed to determine construction impacts.
