Contractor/Consultant
HNTB Corporation is the lead consultant of the General Engineering Consultant Team.

Recent Progress
Work with the City of Bellevue to complete the east approach and connection to 116th Ave. NE (Stage 1) is progressing well.  PS&E (100%) have been completed and submitted.  TPA funding for the bridge structure, west approach and connection to 112th Ave NE (Stage 2) became available in January.

Design Construction Impacts
This will be a two stage design/bid/build project.  Stage 1 will complete the east abutment work in the immediate vicinity of the medical facilities to minimize construction impacts to the new Group Health Medical facility and Overlake Hospital building.  The Stage 2 I-405 crossing structure and west approach will follow.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
A corridor wide Record of Decision for the programmatic FEIS received in October 2002.  Project level environmental documentation (SEPA) completed by the City of Bellevue in February, 2005.  Updates of three technical reports are underway to allow for adoption of SEPA EIS under NEPA.

Impacts to Traffic
Impacts to the traveling public are anticipated to be minimal during construction of Stage 1.  Stage 2 plans have not yet been developed to determine construction impacts.
