Recent Progress
The I-405 Project is working with the City of Bellevue to complete the east approach and connection to 116th Ave. NE (Stage 1) as well as to design the west approach and bridge over I-405 to connect to 112th Ave. NE (Stage 2). Stage 1 right-of-way certifications were achieved in August 2006 and the project was advertised in September 2006. This project is funded by both Transportation Partnership Account (TPA) and City funds. The Stage 1 bid was awarded on October 23, 2006, with construction expected to begin in January 2007. The City will administer Stage 1 of the NE 10th St. construction contract. In addition, 30 percent plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for Stage 2 was submitted for review in early September 2006 and 60 percent PS&E was submitted in early December 2006. Also, note that reported project costs are based on the Legislature's Final 2006 Transportation Supplemental Budget.

Updates to three technical reports are underway to allow for the adoption of SEPA Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
