Recent Progress

Completed 5% footprint design of the Bellevue Nickel Project.  Developed and screened alternatives for the NE 10th Extension Project in conjunction with the City of Bellevue.  Delineated wetlands for the Bellevue Nickel Project.  Selected Kelsey Creek Early Environmental Investments site for concept development.  Gained consensus for aesthetics, architectural, landscaping, etc. design options in Bellevue through the Bellevue Advisory Committee.

Design Construction Impacts

Expect moderate construction impacts.  Plan to rebuild Wilburton tunnel within the center median area between Northbound and Southbound I-405 minimizing those potential construction impacts.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
A corridor wide Record of Decision for the programmatic FEIS was received in October 2002.  Project level environmental documentation is expected to begin January 2005 with an agency and public scoping meeting.  Submitted corridor wide Land Use Analysis to FHWA and the Services Aug 2004.

Impacts to Traffic

Will be more fully  determined as this project's design is further along.
