Project Title & Location
I-205 Mill Plain/112th Avenue Connector

Project Description
This project will provide a direct connection to NE 112th Avenue from the off ramp of northbound I-205 to westbound Mill Plain Boulevard. It is a partnership project with the City of Vancouver.

Skillings-Connolly Inc.   

Recent Progress
WSDOT and the City of Vancouver are continuing to work together to advance the design of this project in close coordination with the I-205/Mill Plain to NE 18th St project design team.  Design activities include advancing the design of a bridge structure that will span both the 112th Off Ramp and the northbound I-205 off-ramp to NE 18th St (Mill Plain to NE 18th St Stage 1).  Other design activities include environmental documentation, which is scheduled to be completed on the Mill Plain to 18th St project. 

Design Construction Impacts
Construction is currently scheduled for Spring/Summer 2008 through 2009.  The Mill Plain NB on-ramp traffic will be detoured through the project area.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Environmental documentation, for this project and the I-205/Mill Plain to NE 18th St. Project, are being conducted by the I-205/Mill Plain to NE 18th St. design team and is scheduled to be completed Summer 2007 (start of construction for the I-205/Mill Plain Exit - 112th Connector Project).

Impacts to Traffic
There will be impacts during construction, including detour routes. Construction staging plans are currently being developed. Anticipate minimal impacts to I-205 and moderate impacts to Mill Plain Blvd and 112th Ave.
