Project Description
This project will improve safety and mobility in the area by constructing a new I-205 northbound off-ramp and southbound on-ramp at NE 18th Street and providing grade separated ramp connections.

Recent Progress
WSDOT and a private consultant design team are working together to advance the design of this project. Designers are currently in the preliminary design stage for this project. The bulk of design work is consolidated toward the completion of the environmental documentation. This effort requires close coordination with the I-205 Mill Plain Exit-112th Connector project, which is included in this project's environmental analysis. Additionally, the design team and the City of Vancouver are closely coordinating other improvement projects in the area.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction is currently scheduled for Spring/Summer of 2011 through 2013. Impacts are anticipated at Mill Plain, 9th Street, 18th Street and I-205.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Environmental documentation, for this project and the I-205 Mill Plain Exit-112th Connector, is scheduled for completion in Summer of 2007.

Impacts to Traffic
The design team will generate effective staging plans to minimize construction impacts to the traveling public.
