US 395 - Columbia River at Kettle Falls - Bridge Deck - Complete November 2012

WSDOT’s contractor rebuilt the bridge deck one side at a time, removing two inches of the existing concrete surface, repairing the underlying concrete where it was needed, and then repaved the bridge with a new concrete layer.

How You Benefit
Dollar Sign Glyph Economic Incentive
The bridge’s pavement has carried vehicles for more than seven decades, and time, plus daily wear and tear took its toll in the form of cracks and dozens of potholes.
The new top layer of concrete with underlying damage was repaired providing a smoother roadway with underlying layers repaired to extend the servicable life of the bridge and preserve the public's investment in the structure.
