Project Description
This project will reconfigure the US 395/SR 240 Interchange south of the "Blue Bridge" in Kennewick, to improve traffic flow and reduce the risk of collisions.

Recent Progress
WSDOT has completed the Geotechnical Report and Bridge and Landscaping plans. Design Approval was given June 30, 2008 and Project Development Approval on September 24, 2008.  All environmental permits have been received.  The contract plans are in final review and the project is scheduled for advertisement in October 2008.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction will require several extended closures of mainline US 395 and SR 240 at various times throughout the course of the project.  Plans have been developed to address the closures and detours available.  The project is moving along with no anticipated change to the ad date.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Environmental Documentation is complete. Shoreline Management permit is required due a portion of the project within 200 feet of the Columbia River and was obtained on September 18, 2008 from the City of Kennewick.
