Project Description
This project will reconfigure the US 395/SR 240 Interchange south of the "Blue Bridge" in Kennewick, to improve traffic flow and reduce the risk of collisions.

Recent Progress
Project was awarded to KLB Construction Inc. of Mukilteo and construction began February 23rd. The two abutment walls for the new structure have been poured and the girders are planned to be set in May.

Design Construction Impacts
The project is moving along with no anticipated change to the completion date.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Environmental Documentation is complete. Shoreline Management permit is required due to a portion of the project being within 200 feet of the Columbia River and was obtained on September 18, 2008 from the City of Kennewick.

Impacts to Traffic
The project will use lane closures and full closures to build areas that are not safe under traffic. Plans have been developed to address the closures and detours available.
