Project Description
This project will reconfigure the US 395/SR 240 Interchange south of the "Blue Bridge" in Kennewick, to improve traffic flow and reduce the risk of collisions.

Recent Progress
Project was awarded to KLB Construction Inc. of Mukilteo and construction should begin in late February weather permitting.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction of the project will require several extended closures of mainline US 395 and SR 240 at various times throughout the course of construction. Plans have been developed to address the closures and detours available. The project is moving along with no anticipated change to the ad date.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Environmental Documentation is complete. Shoreline Management permit is required due to a portion of the project being within 200 feet of the Columbia River and was obtained on September 18, 2008 from the City of Kennewick.
