US 2/Wenatchee River Bridge-Replace Bridge

Project Description
This project will replace the existing narrow bridge with a new structure that meets current standards.

Project not yet advertised or awarded

Recent Progress
VE Study was completed April 9, 2009.  The Plant Survey was completed May 14, 2009.  The Cultural Resource Report was completed May 19, 2009.

Design Construction Impacts
Minor impacts to USFS campground and Hatchery Creek Rd.  Construction will require staged bridge construction.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Known wetland impacts with mitigation off-site.  Section 106 Consultation required with mitigation.  Construction will require HPA and fish-windows for in-water work.

Impacts to Traffic
Short-duration closures of US 2 may be required.  Two-way traffic maintained majority of construction.
