After receiving new permits, crews returned to the project site on Wednesday, July 25 to install a new culvert in the project area.
Crews used large metal frames to hold back the loose earth while they placed the culvert.
Crews worked through the night to complete the work. They had to tear up a small section of US 2 to place the culvert underneath the road.
Large catch basins will funnel run off water into the culvert.
The new culvert is to the west of the soil nail wall and the old culvert.
