Snow and inclement weather has caused crews to proceed with work that does not require lane closures. They have begun setting up their drilling equipment and have installed a drainage pipe on the north side of the road.
Crews have not proceeded with scheduled lane closures to protect driver and worker safety during the snowy and icy conditions.

Despite the chilly weather, crews have begun work to stabilize the hillside. They must even out the ragged pavement the landslide left so they can begin to build the soil nail wall.
They must also flatten an area below the road level to make a safe area for themselves and their equipment to work from.
Once the equipment is in place, they can begin drilling the 40 foot long nails into the hillside.
