On Sunday, April 22 a four foot deep sinkhole developed on US 2 in the project area.
The hole was about one foot wide and five feet long.
WSDOT maintenance crews worked quickly to patch the hole and reopen the lane to traffic.
Construction crews will pave over the sinkhole before they complete the temporary fix. They are also currently working to installing a new culvert west of the old one.
