Project Description
This collision prevention, safety improvement project will flatten slopes, remove hazards and install guardrail where warranted on US 2 between MP 64.76 and MP 83.35.

Project not yet advertised or awarded.

Recent Progress
Design and PS&E work continues.  Potential utility conflicts have been identified and are being evaluated for avoidance or relocation.

Design Construction Impacts
There will be no parcels impacted by this project as all the work is within DOT right of way or easement.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
No environmental permits will be needed.  NEPA/SEPA is scheduled for November.  Section 106 compliance is anticipated to be exempt under a USFS programmatic agreement.

Impacts to Traffic
Construction will have minimal impacts on traffic.  Traffic control strategies will include lane shifts and one-way flagger controled traffic.
