Overview
This preservation project paved 8.5 miles of US 2/97 from Leavenworth to Cashmere.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
This project provides a smoother driving surface. Includes a new right turn lane for westbound traffic at Deadman Hill/Saunders Rd. and other safety improvements including new signs, delineators, recessed pavement markers and striping.
Dollar Sign Glyph Economic Incentive
The repaving project prevents further deterioration to the existing roadway at the least possible "life cycle" cost.

Central Washington Asphalt, inc. was the contractor on this project.

Funding
This project was funded through the following sources:

  • Pre-existing gas tax - $3.9 million
  • Total funding from all sources - $3.9 million
