US 2 - Ebey Island Viaduct and Ebey Slough Bridge Rehabilitation - Detour Maps

This summer we will repair the underside of the US 2 Ebey Island Viaduct and Ebey Slough Bridge. This work will require up to 68 nighttime closures of the westbound US 2 trestle between SR 204 and 50th Avenue NE. The map below shows detour routes during the closures.

Closure times

We will begin nighttime closures of the westbound US 2 trestle on June 16 and continue them through October. Here's what will be closed:

  • Westbound US 2 between SR 204 and 50th Ave NE: Sunday - Thursday nights, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.; Saturday nights, 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Crews may close one lane as early as 6 p.m. Sunday - Thurday nights and as early as 7 p.m. Saturday night.
  • On-ramps from SR 204 and westbound US 2 (east of the SR 204/US 2 interchange): Sunday - Thursday nights, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.; Saturday nights, 8 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • On-ramp from westbound 20th Street SE (east of the SR 204/US 2 interchange): Sunday - Thursday nights, 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.; Saturday nights, 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Eastbound US 2 off-ramp to Ebey Island and HomeAcres Rd: Saturday - Thursday nights, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Temporary traffic signals at SR 204 and 51st Avenue SE will guide drivers through the detours.

Even when the westbound trestle is not closed, some ramps and roads will remain closed. The map below shows detour routes while the trestle is open.

Here's what will be closed around-the-clock during construction:

  • Westbound 20th Street SE under the trestle
  • The off-ramp from westbound US 2 to Ebey Island and HomeAcres Rd
  • Eastbound 20th Street SE under the trestle has been reversed for westbound traffic during construction
