Project not yet advertised or awarded

Recent Progress
In April 2002, 70% of the survey and data collection was completed.  Remaining fieldwork and design work will begin Spring 2004.

Design Construction Impacts
The Dryden community has been requesting this signal for a number of years.  This project was also identified as part of a Corridor Study conducted on US 2/97 between Peshastin and Wenatchee in June of 2002. There have been several meetings in the past with the community concerning the signal.  This project will  also include the construction of a right turn pocket and the closure of an on connection ramp from a frontage road.  The intersection is being monitored as it technically does not meet “signal warrants”.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
A draft Environmental Classification Summary was completed October 1997.  Under NEPA guidelines, the project is categorized as a Documented CE (Categorical Exclusion) and Categorically Exempt under SEPA guidelines.

Impacts to Traffic
Occasional lane closures can be anticipated during construction.  Also, modifications will occur to the existing paint striping.
