US 2/Chiwaukum Creek-Replace Bridge

West of Leavenworth, MP 89.88 to MP 89.91

Project Description
This project will replace the existing narrow bridge with a new structure that meets current standards.

Project not yet advertised or awarded.

Recent Progress
VE Study completed April 9, 2009.  The plant survey was completed May 14, 2009.  The Cultural Resource Report was completed May 19, 2009.

Design Construction Impacts
Minor impacts to USFS campground, Chiwaukum Creek Road and Wenatchee River Road.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Known wetland impacts with mitigation on-site.  Section 106 Consultation required with mitigation.  Construction will require HPA and fish-windows for in-water work.

Impacts to Traffic
Two-way traffic maintained majority of construction with short duration flagger controlled traffic.
