Added centerline rumble strips on a 36-mile section of US 195 in Whitman and Spokane Counties, a 12-mile section of SR 902 near Medical Lake, and 38 miles of US 395 in Stevens County.
Centerline rumble strips are a proven low-cost method of dramatically reducing cross-over collisions by alerting inattentive drivers when they are crossing into oncoming traffic.

Also, WSDOT seeks to address the concerns of tribal nations using the process outlined in section 106 of The National Historical Preservation Act and the WSDOT Tribal Consultation Policy adopted in 2003 by the Transportation Commission as part of the WSDOT Centennial Accord Plan.
