Project Info

US 195 - Colfax to Dry Creek - Complete August 2015

Ground off top layer of asphalt and resurfaced the highway.

How you benefit

Economic incentive
Periodically replacing the top layer of asphalt pavement prevents intrusion of water into the underlying layers and ultimate degradation of the entire pavement structure. A hot-mix asphalt (HMA) overlay also restores a smooth driving surface.  This preserves the public investment in the highway.

Partnerships & cooperation
WSDOT addresses the concerns of tribal nations using the process outlined in Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the WSDOT Tribal Consultation Policy adopted in 2003 by the Transportation Commission as part of the WSDOT Centennial Accord Plan.
