Recent Progress
Design work continues on this project. Conversations with impacted landowners (WDFW, USFS, BOR, the Nature Conservancy and a private party) have begun. A formal meeting was held October 3, 2006 and will be followed by an agency meeting to discuss environmental issues in more detail. The geotechnical report for the bridge construction is currently being drafted and the report for the earthwork has been completed. An open house is scheduled for Fall 2006.
A combination Cost Risk Assessment /Value Engineering (CRAVE) was performed in August 2006.

|
Design Construction Impacts
The CRAVE identified several risks that, in addition to the escalation in construction costs, could push project costs beyond the approved budget. At the 90% confidence level, the total project cost could be $13.1 million compared to the $10.6 million budgeted.

|
Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Minor wetland impacts anticipated.
|
Impacts to Traffic
We plan to utilize existing bridges to detour traffic.
