Recent Progress
Early design work continues on the project.  Preliminary design of the railroad bridge is planned to begin in July.  The Project Office has continued discussions with Boise Cascade on their access issues and are nearing an agreement.  We are working towards publishing the Findings and Order from the Access Hearing in the summer of 2004.  The Project Definition is awaiting headquarter's approval.

Design Construction Impacts
Currently there are no impacts anticipated that could affect delivery dates.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance

There are no environmental impacts anticipated that would affect the delivery date.  The Environmental Assessment is being updated to evaluate project specific areas not covered in the original report.
We are awaiting a ruling from the US Army Corps of Engineers on impacts of the "Talent Ruling."  This ruling could potentially change the jurisdiction of certain ditches or canals that form a connection between a navigable water of the US and another waterbody.   Additional permitting may be required.

Impacts to Traffic

We anticipate limited one-lane closures and brief delays to allow for the contractors'  truck operations during the construction phase.
