Recent Progress

Two Interagency Project Team (IPT) meetings were held this quarter, the first on on March 28 and 29th and the second on June 12th.  In March the IPT toured the Phase 4 area to review watershed, endangered species, park lands and other sensitive resource lands.  In June the IPT reviewed the Phase 6 project and saw the Conceptual Mitigation Strategy  for watershed mitigation.  At both meetings the watershed mitigation consultant  (HDR-EES) presented information concerning possible mitigation opportunities within the Walla Walla River and it's tributaries.

US Highway 12 Open Houses were held in Burbank and Walla Walla on May 11th and 12th.  Approximately 244 people came to see the latest plans for US 12 from Burbank to Walla Walla.
