Recent Progress

The US Highway 12 Coalition successfully lobbied for $4.2 million in Federal Earmark funds, to combine with state Nickel funds for continued development of plans for US 12 between Walla Walla and Wallula.  A new effort by the Coalition is hoping to secure an additional $3 million in 2004 Federal Earmark funds.  If the US Congress appropriates the $3 million, WSDOT will begin designing the first construciton project along the thirty mile corridor.
