US 12 - Old Naches Highway - Build Interchange

Project Description
This project will construct a new interchange at the intersection of US 12 and the Old Naches Highway. A new interchange will remove the existing traffic signal, improve route capacity, and reduce collisions; thus improving the overall safety of the highway.

Project has not been advertised or awarded.

Recent Progress
Early design work has started.  Interchange alternatives are being studied to determine a footprint in order to start early right-of-way acquisition.

Design Construction Impacts
None anticipated at this time. None anticipated at this time.  The funding for the construction of this project has been delayed.   The ad date for this project will likely move to October 2014.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Flood plain and possible minor wetland impacts are anticipated.

Impacts to Traffic
One lane closures and detours anticipated.
