WSDOT environmental experts and project engineers hosted over 100 local citizens at an open house meeting to present the environmental assessment for the next phase of the project to widen US 12 from two to four lanes between the Tri-Cities and Walla Walla. A court reporter was present for official comments, and citizens were also given the option of providing written or e-mail input. The public comment period ends June 16, 2006.
