Project Title & Location
US 101/Purdy Creek Bridge -Replace Bridge ( Mason County)
|
Project Description
This project replaces the US 101 Purdy Creek Bridge in the Skokomish River Valley in Mason County. The Purdy Creek Bridge site is the lowest point of US 101. The hydraulics of the Lower Skokomish River frequently results in floods, closing US 101. This new bridge will accommodate the 100-year flood as well as possible changes to the course of the Skokomish River by constructing a raised roadway near Purdy Creek with a sufficient opening for flood water to pass through.
