      Joint Technical & Policy Steering Committee Role:

      • Provide vision, policy, and oversight of the project
      • Approve the study approach within budget
      • Identify issues vital to the project
      • Make final decisions on key study decision points
      • Provide input and coordinate with other related projects and transportation decision making bodies
      • Assist in resolving conflicts between agencies
      • Support implementation of the corridor plan
      • Approve an Interagency Agreement that outlines how the study's participating agencies will implement the study's recommendations
      • Define and implement an approval mechanism for the Interagency Agreement
      • Represent their constituents' or organizations' interests and perspectives
      • Advise the Project Management Team (PMT) on public involvement, transportation operations, safety, environmental, land use, and other issues that may affect the study
      • Advise the PMT on recommendations for study decision points
      • Communicate project progress back to their respective constituents departments/organizations following the protocol guidelines (established during the partnering session)
      • Convey constituents' or organizations' feedback to the Joint Committee
      • Provide information and review products that meet the PMT master schedule
      • Provide input to and coordinate with other related projects and transportation decision making bodies

      The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) Role:

      • Identify issues vital to their constituents or organization
      • Advise the PMT, and Joint Committee on recommendations for study decision points
      • Communicate project progress back to their respective constituents organizations following the protocol guidelines (to be finalized by the SAC)
      • Convey constituents' or organizations' feedback to the Joint Committee
      • Provide information and review products to meet the PMT's master schedule
      • Recommend and participate a public outreach program
