SR 99 - W Fork Hylebos Creek - Fish Passage - Map

A large map that shows the location of the culvert replacement and West Fork Hylebos Creek stream realignment work. The contractor will replace a small 6 foot by 6 foot culvert that is a barrier for fish with a larger culvert that will improve fish passage.
Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation replaced six by six foot culvert under SR 99 in Federal Way with a new concrete box culvert that is 10 feet high by 20 feet wide. The culvert carries West Fork Hylebos Creek under the highway. The old culvert was a barrier for several types of fish that can be found in the stream including chinook, coho and salmon.
