SR 99 - Aurora Avenue at Galer Street Pedestrian Overpass - Complete June 2004

Overview
The Ray Moore Bridge allows pedestrians to walk safely from the Queen Anne neighborhood to Lake Union, crossing over the very busy SR 99 (Aurora Avenue).

The bridge is the only way for pedestrians to safely and legally cross SR 99 between Mercer Street and the George Washington Bridge (Aurora Avenue Bridge). This is especially important for those Queen Anne residents who use buses.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
Allows pedestrians to safely and legally cross Aurora Avenue, completing a pedestrian walkway that stretches across Queen Anne hill from Lake Union to the waters of Puget Sound.
Leaf Glyph Protects Environment
Allows commuters easier access to transit options on Aurora Avenue. The stairs to the bridge are equipped with unique bicycle grooves for cyclists to push their bikes up and down the stairs.

Partnerships & Cooperation
