Contractor/Consultant
Project not yet advertised or awarded.

Recent Progress

The Project Office has held predesign meetings with support groups and a field meeting with the Multi Agency Permitting team to review environmentally sensitive areas.  Survey work  and wetland delineation are complete and base map is being prepared.  Alignment and channelization alternatives are being developed.  Continuing to coordinate with the City of Issaquah.

Design Construction Impacts

Balancing of impacts will be necessary.  Widening to the east will cause wetland impacts.  Widening to the west will require retaining walls and possible residence relocations.   WSDOT will be coordinating with the City of Issaquah.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
R/W will be required for the lane widening and for mitigation of environmental impacts.  Walls and steep slopes will be used to minimize impacts to wetlands.  The existing bridge over Tibbetts creek will be replaced with a new structure for increased traffic carrying capacity.

Impacts to Traffic
This project is targeted to improve efficiency of traffic operation.   Construction will require non-peak lane closures and temporary detours.
