Design Construction Impacts
In response to high traffic volumes and safety considerations, channelization plans have been revised to include a raised median barrier. WSDOT has initiated a public information effort to communicate these changes to affected roadway users. Fliers have been mailed to affected residents and business owners and the first of several public open house meetings has been held. The formal announcement by King County of the Brightwater site selection adjoining this section of SR 9 is providing opportunity for cooperative effort and coordination with Brightwater and Snohomish County.
