SR 9 – SR 522 to 212th St. SE; Widening
(Stages 1b & 2), North Woodinville

Project Description
This project adds lanes and enhances safety on 1.8 miles of congested state highway.

Contractor/Consultant
Wilder Construction of Everett.

Recent Progress
 
Installed and Paved Raised Median Islands. 
Striped Majority of Project. 
Finished Wall 1 Construction 
Finished Wall 1 A Construction
Placed Majority of Traffic Loops
Permanent Signal at 228th ST SE. 
Installed Signal Bridge at SR524

Design Construction Impacts
 

The recent clear all  agreement settled all major issues. There are some minor cost issues that are not part of the clear all agreement. 

The following construction issue that may have some cost and schedule impacts:
1. Due to the closure hour restriction on the newly open lanes, there may be some cost and schedule impacts to perform the remaining work.
2. The traffic control in the contract plans does not provide protection to the travel public or worker.  New traffic control plans will restrict the contractor and may have cost and schedule impacts.

Four lanes are open to the public on SR9. 
Ramp and lane closures are still needed for the remaining work.
