SR 823 - Goodlander to Harrison Rd - Build Sidewalk

Project Description
This project will increase pedestrian and motorist safety by constructing a sidewalk on the east side of SR 823 from Goodlander Road to Harrison Road. The intersection at Goodlander Road will also be improved to allow easier right-turns onto northbound SR 823 and eliminate the "jog" for motorists traveling northbound through the intersection.

Contractor/Consultant

Recent Progress
Design and contract plans and specifications are complete and all right of way has been acquired.  The project will be advertised for bids on October 1, 2007.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction will begin in the spring of 2008 and only minor lane closures will be required to build the sidewalk.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
SEPA and NEPA documentation were complete on 8/22/06.  No permits are required for this project.

Impacts to Traffic
One of two northbound lanes of SR 823 is expected to be closed during construction.
