Project Title & Location
SR 823 - Goodlander to Harrison Rd - Build Sidewalk

Project Description
This project will increase pedestrian and motorist safety by constructing a sidewalk on the east side of SR 823 from Goodlander Road to Harrison Road. The intersection at Goodlander Road will also be improved to allow easier right-turns onto northbound SR 823 and eliminate the "jog" for motorists traveling northbound through the intersection.

Contractor/Consultant
Granite Northwest, Inc. (dba Superior Paving) of Yakima, WA.

Recent Progress
The contract was awarded to Granite Northwest, Inc. on November 5, 2007.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction will begin on March 17, 2008 depending on weather.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
SEPA and NEPA documentation were complete on 8/22/06.  No permits are required for this project.

Impacts to Traffic
One of two northbound lanes of SR 823 is expected to be closed during the day for construction activities.
